Get to know Marvin…

Q. When you're not working, what do you love to do in your free time?
A. In my free time I love going to the beach, spending time in the non-profit sphere helping to elevate the voice of the queer and sober community, and travel.

Q. Tell us more about your story and your career.
A. This industry is vast and there are so many avenues to travel. I am blessed that I've gotten to travel so many of those avenues. I started in this industry in the salon world, transitioning to nightlife entertainment, then to retail/cosmetics, followed by private clients, celebrity, red carpet, advertising campaigns, and of course, bridal. Bridal is the utmost in magical experiences and it is an incredible honor to share space and play a small part in someone's magical day.

Q. What brought you to Southern California?
A. After six years in New York, it was time for a refresh. Souther California not only provides a sunny standard of living but the pace of life is slower, which is the perfect refresh I needed.

Q. What is a current beauty trend you fully stand behind?
A. Skin looking like skin. While makeup is clearly there, we are seeing a moment with pure radiance in the skin. No real harsh lines anywhere and the makeup feeling effortless.

Q. Please tell us more about your art.
A. I love creating. With makeup, it could be complete transformation or paying attention to the smallest details to create the highest impact. Hair is fascinating because it can create anything the mind can imagine. Creations only limited by what the mind can imagine is a dreamy proposition.

Q. What fuels you in your career?
A. My career is fueled by passion and creativity.

Q. What you enjoy most about working with brides and bridal parties?
A. My favorite thing about Brides and Bridal parties is the energy of the day. It is once in a lifetime moment. There is so much love, happiness, joy and enthusiasm in the room and everyone is there for celebration. It makes for amazing weekends.

Q. What is your favorite part of a wedding day?
A. My favorite part of the wedding day is seeing the bride walk down the isle or first look photos.

The whole team was so professional and kind. Marvin was amazing!! Everyone looked beautiful.
