Q. When you're not working, what do you love doing in your free time?
A. Spending time with my loved ones, going on long walks , flower arranging , reading , movies, being a homebody.
Q. Tell us more about your story and your career.
A. I remember getting a hair cut years ago & the woman cutting my hair said " I feel like you would be a good hairstylist. You're creative & you're good with people." No exaggeration , I looked into beauty college the next day & enrolled. I literally started this career based off of those words of encouragement. I had never thought about it until someone saw something in me that I didn't see in myself. I'm a big believer in your words having power. Fast forward 15 years later, I've worked in the salon, weddings, television, red carpets & private housecalls. I realized I had a passion for blowouts/styling & decided to make that the focus of my career. I find so much joy in providing women with an extra boost of confidence with a good hair day for any occasion! But weddings are my primary happy place to do hair.
Q. What brought you to Southern California?
A. I am a proud Angelino! I'm born & raised in Los Angeles.
Q. Where are your favorite locations or venues to work?
A. I'm a sucker for a great view & a winery. Give me both & Im in heaven! There's nothing more romantic than an outdoor venue , sun is setting, wine glasses are clinking & love in the air!
Q. What is a current beauty trend you fully stand behind?
A. This sounds boring, but scalp scrubs & exfoliating shampoos. I'm such a nerd about scalp health. It's the base & essential for great hair!
Q. Please tell us more about your art.
A. To me, hair is one of the most beautiful art forms . I feel so lucky to be able to express myself through it & also deliver styles that elevate women's existing natural beauty . I aim to create styles that are uniquely tailored to my brides.
Q. What fuels you in your career?
A. I really believe the beauty industry is constantly evolving & there's always room to learn & grow. That keeps things exciting & gives me the freedom to always create. I think of when I started my hair career years ago to now & feel grateful for the doors its opened for me. Not only professionally but also relationships with women who I never would've met if it wasn't for this career. To be entrusted with someones image is such an honor that I've never taken lightly .
Q. What you enjoy most about working with brides and bridal parties?
A.Weddings are a dream brought to life in one day. To get to be a part of someone's dream day is such an honor. There's nothing like wedding day energy. The laughs, love, the happy tears , mimosas all around, girls all getting ready to their favorite playlist, glam. I'm here for all the wedding magic!
