The biggest wedding hair trends we are seeing this year
Hailey Bieber Wedding Day Hairstyle
The Hailey Bieber inspired wedding hair has been HUGE amongst our LA brides who want to portray that modern and chic vibe to their bridal hairstyle. Our Culver City bride, Corie, was so inspired by Hailey Bieber and the slicked back low bun could not have been pulled off any better! It’s a very easy and wearable style for a long wedding day because you don’t need to maintain or touch up really at all, and it’s out of the way, ready for the dance floor.
Hair All Down Bridal Look
I think at the end of the day, as a bride, it really matters that you feel comfortable in your hair and makeup look that you choose. For many women, hair down has been the best choice because it’s a look that feels familiar and comfortable and yet is so understated and effortless for a formal event such as a wedding. Having your hair down in messy, undone waves does not have to mean casual! I think it can pair perfectly with a formal and upscale setting and add that element of effortlessness and sexiness to the overall look.
Bridal Pony
A huge bridal hair trend with my brides and bridal parties - simplicity. If it seems “simple”, it’s probably trending right now and chic AF. The bridal ponytail is one of those classic styles that is so cute! You can go more sleek and tight with it, or choose a more tousled and loose pony for a more romantic feel. Our bride Tiffany (pictured below) has the BEST hair to begin with and her bridal pony was the moment most definitely!! A perfect pairing with her outdoor Southern California wedding.
Hair Behind the Ears -
Hilary Duff Inspired Wedding Hairstyle
This bridal hairstyle has been done by celebs like Hilary Duff and Kim Kardashian on their wedding days. With a middle part, the face framing pieces of hair are slicked back into bobby pins, with brushed together and relaxed looking waves. I love this style because it’s so flattering on everyone! The hair is out of your face and feels polished, and yet you also have a hair-down feel to it. My bride pictured below, Brittany, incorporated a beautiful headband hair piece to really get the Hilary Duff inspired wedding hair look!
Pearls To Accessorize the Hair
Adding pearls to the hair is one of my favorite trends! I think it’s adorable and a fairly newer trend we are seeing, but also classic and timeless enough to continue to be popular for years to come. For my brides pictured below, I hand glued each pearl into place with tweezers and lash glue. I wanted the placement to feel organic and not too exact or perfect. Bride Caroline (left) chose this style for her modern Downtown LA wedding, and it also worked beautifully for Bride Linda (right) and her romantic ranch style wedding.
