Meet Savannah!

Specializing in natural with a little something extra. Classic with a twist.

Get to know Savannah…

Q. When you're not working, what do you love to do in your free time?
A. I love camping, B-movies (and good movies, don’t get me wrong 😉), nature, art, and animals, among a handful of other things, so I enjoy doing things that revolve around those. My husband and I aren’t native Angelenos, so we definitely just enjoy exploring our world here in Southern California. There’s always so much to do!

Q. What brought you to Southern California?
A. I’m from Florida originally, and that was where I started my career back in 2015. My boyfriend at the time — now husband — had just graduated college in 2019, and I had always wanted to leave Florida, so we decided on LA. We packed up our car with everything it would fit and drove across the country to our new home. We didn’t have an apartment picked or jobs set up and it was the scariest thing I’ve ever done, but I’m SO grateful we went for it! We love it here.

Q. Where are your favorite locations or venues to work?
A. Favorite venue hands down is The Paramour Estate in Silver Lake. Totally where I would have gotten married if I hadn’t gone to Vegas! Other favorites are random Airbnbs in Joshua Tree for elopements and the Houdini Estate.

Q. What is a current beauty trend you fully stand behind?
A. Sheer/light coverage makeup. Perfecting any redness or breakouts, but letting the world see your freckles and your actual skin!

Q. Please tell us more about your art.
A. There are two parts of me that drive my work hugely: I have an art background, and there are few things I love more than person-to-person connection. Both of my parents are artists, and my husband is an artist. I love art. Specifically, I love color theory and finding harmony and making intentional, bold choices; I love thoughtful subtleties and beautiful juxtapositions of textures; and I love the mimicry of what’s naturally occurring in the world. On a face (or in hair), all of that becomes macro. I love the detail of it all and, to bring it back to the people part, I love the collaboration. I love bringing my judgement and experience to your vision of what you think is beautiful, and (no pun intended) marrying the two. Getting to know you and your particularities as an individual, and then helping your unique vision come to life brings me deep satisfaction — like an artist sitting back, content, after completing a piece.

Q. What is your favorite part of a wedding day?
A. It’s usually the only part I’m involved in so I’m definitely biased, but I love the whole “getting ready” portion of the day. I got married myself in March of 2022, and though we did things very nontraditionally and our ceremony was brief (we got married by Elvis at the Little White Chapel!), I really wanted to do the “getting ready” part, since I was so familiar with it. It was such a perfect start to everything, getting ready with my small group, and it totally set the tone for the whole day. My hair and makeup made me feel absolutely the most beautiful I’ve ever felt, and it was just so wonderful talking and joking with my friends (who happened to be my photog, photog’s assistant, and hair/makeup artist, so friend/vendors… friendors?) and Fiancé until he went to go get ready himself. Being on the other end after years of being on the vendor side — hopefully bridging over into what feels like a friend ☺️ — just made me love that time even more. I feel so lucky to get to be a part of that intimate, wonderful time for so many brides.

Emily Lynn + Co (Emily and Savannah) did hair and make up for myself and several friends on my wedding day in early June. I don’t often wear makeup so I wanted something light and natural. Emily delivered! I felt so beautiful but also still very much like myself on my wedding day. We had done a trial previously in April that made me feel very confident that I would love my hair and makeup on our wedding day. In addition to being talented hair and makeup artists, Emily and Savannah are so sweet and kind. They were professional, arrived on time, and were very attentive to any feedback and adjustments to be made. I would absolutely hire Emily Lynn + Co again!

Tracina and Savannah came to the hotel where we were staying early in the morning and did my bridal hair and makeup and the hair and makeup for the full bridal party (6 bridesmaids and both moms). They were both a pleasure to spend the day with, and worked magic with me and the bridal party. Tracina did hair for 8 people. It was a very hot day and many of the bridesmaids decided to switch to an updo, without a very specific idea of what they wanted. Tracina did an amazing job of taking guidance from the bridesmaids and creating beautiful updos that were all a little unique, and each one was elegant and gorgeous. Savannah did makeup for six members of the bridal party and my (bride’s) hair and makeup. Everyone’s makeup looked stunning; Savannah enhanced everyone’s natural beauty. Everyone looked, elegant, natural, and elevated. Savannah spent a long time on my hair and makeup and did an excellent job. Despite 90+ degree weather, everyone’s hair and makeup looked great the entire day. The bridesmaids told me how happy they were with the beauty team and how they looked for the day. Thank you to the Emily Lynn and Co team!!

I had an amazing experience working with Emily Lynn and Company for my wedding. They were so easy to work with from booking to the day of — very communicative, timely, and organized. The bridal party was so happy with their hair and makeup as well as the experience on the morning of. Savannah and Kiyana were the hair and makeup artists for my wedding — they were so kind, helped to keep things calm, and everything looked incredible for the whole night. Savannah did my bridal hair and makeup and I was beyond thrilled with how everything turned out and her presence was so calming the morning of. Highly recommend working with Emily Lynn + Co!
